“ …I’ve never been really sure of the best way to warm up. I always felt that the way most people do this is either too feeble to be effective or so overdone that you are exhausted before you start. Your explanation in the manual was a big help.  The explanation in the bonus booklet was even better.

But what really impressed me about your book on dangerous exercises was the horrible familiarity of so many of them. Did I do any of these? It was hard not to think that they probably caused at least some of my previous aches and pains.

Thanks to your magnificent manual I'm now certain that I will get fitter faster and definitely safer. I also like that your books have none of the usual padding that so many others seem to have as standard.

Let’s have some more please!”

“ ...I certainly appreciated the info-warnings about dangerous exercises.  I dread injuries … I dread injuries.  If I know I can avoid pulling a muscle or otherwise hurting myself, I will become more adventurous.

As a natural-born-skeptic, I wouldn’t have believed that training without weights or machines could be so effective. In fact, I’m more than impressed by the simplicity of it all. I’m on the road a lot. You r manual has given me a choice of routines I can do wherever I’m traveling because I don’t need equipment or a gym. That is invaluable.

Lastly, let me say that it’s a pleasure to be able to buy something on the web where the ‘freebies’ turn out to be as valuable as the main items.  I especially appreciate the booklet about Dropping A Belt Notch in Two Weeks Or Less. The little routine sets me up beautifully for the day.

Keep the material coming; I hope to see more of it! …”

“I am now paying the price for being a marathon runner for almost 30 years. Knee and hip problems have finally forced me to quit. I therefore was very interested to read your book on Dangerous Exercises. I only wish I had access to the good sense in that book years earlier.

I am looking to find low impact exercises that will keep me fit, especially for my new chosen sport of cycling.  My ambition is to cycle some of the great Tour-de-France climbs, like Alp de Huez, and Mont Ventoux. I need to work on my lung and legs exercises. Finding your books has been a real bonus.  Your lung and leg exercises are paying real dividends.  Climbing hills on training runs are getting easier and faster…”

For me, no longer having any ACHES OR PAINS is a very big gain.  Even my heels that have given me plenty of problems over the years seem better!”

“ …Having just read through the Fitnessblasting programme and Dangerous Exercises Exposed I can’t wait to get started. The programme looks fresh but familiar, and certainly will require commitment, but my instincts tell me that this system is what I have been waiting for so long as I don’t take the typical male approach of rushing in starting at the back, and take it easy and build up slowly – in my own time and at home.”

Stop Fouling-Up Your Fitness

“How To Virtually Banish Injuries Overnight Instead of Wasting Time & Money Suffering On The Sidelines With Your Fitness Level Going Backwards.”

Fitness author Jon Dyson lashes out at orthodox training methods that damage your health and cost you plenty in pain, injuries, lost fitness & lost time.

No matter what your age, sport or fitness level,
“Dangerous Exercises Exposed!” demonstrates how to eliminate the nasty side effects of fitness.  Even better, it shows you a wealth of superior and safer ways to faster and safer fitness without storing-up future problems.

Dear Friend

Sore muscles, strained tendons, damaged ligaments, aching joints and much, much worse are standard side effects of current fitness techniques.  Add in the cost in money, wasted time, lost fitness and future problems and it's easy to see why so many good people never reach their fitness peak.  Many others are put-off fitness altogether.

All this is typically seen as normal. The truth is that it isn't.  Absolutely none of it need happen to you.  But having been indoctrinated with the idea for so long, it's hard for some people to shake it off.

So, let me help you.

3 Killer Questions

  1. How Would You Like A Foolproof Way To Damage Your Back?
  2. How About A Sure-Fire Method to Bust Your Knees?
  3. How About the Easy Route to Permanent Shoulder Pain?

No, why should you?  But techniques that achieve all these and more are used day-in-day-out.  The reason?  Lemming-like Orthodoxy.

Spot The Link Between This …

  • The fitness industry has never been so ‘scientific'.
  • The fitness industry has never been so big.
  • Membership of fitness clubs has never been so big.
  • Muscles have never been so big.
  • The use of Fitness Equipment has never been so big.

And This …

  • Sales of Supplements have never been so big.
  • The sales of painkillers have never been so big.
  • The drug industry has never been so big.
  • Physiotherapists & chiropractors have never been so busy.
  • The numbers of knee, hip & back operations have never been so big.

This is depressing because it seems so n-o-r-m-a-l.  Yet it isn't.  It's a totally predictable result of the current orthodoxy in fitness training.

Look who's smiling!

 Learning the Painful Way

But WHY pay a price in pain, lost time, lost fitness or being stuck on the sporting sidelines through injury when you don't need to be?

WHY wait until you're injured to learn about safer and superior workout techniques?

WHY leave it until after you're hurt to learn the hard way when it's so easy to learn the easy way?

Yet on practically every visit to the gym, I see a whole bunch of stupid, dangerous and damaging exercises.  And this goes as much for supposedly experienced athletes as for those starting out at fitness. I've even done some of this stupid stuff myself in the past.  The tragedy is that most people are still doing it.  Why be one of them?

Will Your Anti-Injury Gene Protect You?

What do you think?  A better question might be: Do you have the anti-injury gene?  No, you don't?  Well, that's just too bad, isn't it?  Too bad for me too because I don't have it either.

What this means is simple.  It means that without the anti-injury gene you will get injured.  Me too.  The only issues are: when, how often and how badly.

How I Found Out the Hard Way

For over 30 years I've been a runner, a rugby player and a swimmer.  I've also done plenty of weight lifting, cycling and orienteering.  I've seen and experienced what works and what doesn't.  A lot of it I've learned the hard way through injuries.

Naturally, learning by experience is a great method of learning.  The snag is that this technique hurts.  Another snag is that it takes a long time.  In fact, some learn too late and others just never learn at all.

In my case, as you would expect over 30 years, I've had my share of injury problems - from sore muscles to broken bones.  My worst injury was acquired while swimming.  Yes, swimming!  This put me in a support collar for 5 months (the medics told me it might be 2 years).

Pharmacy Fitness or Real Fitness?

The long and the short of it is that injuries in sports and fitness training are rampant.  This means that painkillers and other drugs are also rampant.  Typically, this joins together unhealthy injuries with unhealthy ‘cures'

As a result, some people end up hooked on pharmacy fitness instead of healthy all-round fitness.

Why Limit Your Potential?

Don't Make This Crazy Decision

Too many people see injuries as an unavoidable way of life.  A matter of bad luck - if your name is on the bad-luck-bullet, too bad.

All this says is that they reckon that nothing can be done to avoid it.  Or, more likely, they're too careless, crazy or lazy to do anything about it.  Now it's obvious that it's not fate because this attitude is really a decision.  A very bad decision.

But let's face it, some people like pain and some like excuses.  That's their problem, why make it yours?  Leave these people alone.  There's no need to make their mistakes.

How to Learn Faster & Train Smarter

Now, bad luck is tough.  And I can't promise you immunity.  After all, that missing anti-injury gene is still missing, isn't it?  So, total escape is out of the question.  But that doesn't mean you can't dodge it most of the time.

It ‘only' took me 30 years to learn how!

Sure, I admit this might seem a shade slow and I'd be the first to agree it could have been faster.  I wish it had been.  Better late than never is my best excuse.  But that's not the question right now, is it?  Because the question right now is:

How fast will YOU learn it?

Little Injuries & Big Problems

Even without being career-killers, ‘little' injuries can sometimes be as bad or worse than a breakage.

For instance, a patch of skin kicked off the back of my hand in a rugby match practically refused to heal.  By comparison, a broken thumb on the same hand healed very quickly.  Likewise, when I broke a finger in a fight (same hand again), it healed faster than my black eye.

But even non-contact sports can have risks.  A cycling fall fractured my elbow.  Luckily it healed in a few weeks.  But a badly twisted ankle in an orienteering competition took months to get back to normal.

Why Limit Your Potential?

‘Knock-On' Effects

Injury damage always has knock-on effects that can hurt in an entirely different way.  For example, it might hold up your training and keep you out of your game or sport.

And watch out for the knock-on effects in everyday life.  My fractured elbow meant that driving was impossible.  So did my neck injury from swimming.

To scare yourself, forget the pros, just tot up the number of ‘fun' runners or football players or judo enthusiasts or weight lifters you know who are forced to quit with accumulated bad knee problems.

11 Nasty Side Effects of Training Injuries

  1. They're painful.
  2. You lose training time.
  3. Your fitness level goes backwards.
  4. Pain-killers become part of your diet.
  5. You are forced to sit on the sidelines.
  6. You pay for unused gym time.
  7. The treatment eats into your time.
  8. Your medical costs eat into your bank balance.
  9. Injuries accumulate.
  10. They have ‘knock-on' effects on your everyday life.
  11. It takes time to catch-up (if you can).

Risk Management

How would you feel if you missed that gold medal due to entirely avoidable injuries?  How would you feel if you had to take ‘early retirement' from your sport or chosen fitness activity due to entirely avoidable in juries?

The truth is, lots of injuries begin or are acquired in training.  But they're not inevitable.  It only seems that way to anyone careless, crazy or lazy enough to ignore the evidence all around.  Astoundingly, this also happens with the pros.

Get Your Hindsight in Advance

Does this sound difficult?  Not really.  The trick is not to hang around waiting to learn this the hard way with hindsight.  Hindsight generally comes too late anyway.  The trick is to get your hindsight in advance.

This is exactly what my eBook, Dangerous Exercises Exposed! gives you.

It identifies the ten main dangers of using weights and shows you how to avoid them.  It shows you three practically unavoidable ways that using weights actually sabotages your fitness.  It shows the ten main ways that supposedly safer ‘bodyweight' exercises can be just as dangerous.

But it does more than simply list dangerous exercises.  It also demonstrates ten key alternatives you must know and twelve additional superior alternatives.  And if you really can't avoid using weights it gives you some super effective but safer weights techniques so your risks are less and your gains are better.

Injuries Waste Your Time,
Money, Fun & Achievement

The Big Lie

Ignorance is NOT Bliss.  It's weakness.  That's why injuries hit practically everyone - no matter what their age or experience.  But just how much of a surprise can this be when the dominant fitness orthodoxy is to spend hours on machines or lifting ever-heavier weights?

Don't misunderstand me here.  The explosion of gym membership over recent years has been fantastic.  But the cost is measured in more than dollars and pounds (or whatever).  The massive over-reliance on weights, machines and the constant supply of ever-newer so-called fitness equipment is bound to have a price.

Just take a look at the yards of strapping and tonnage of body-belts to stop knees disintegrating and backs collapsing.  Now, if someone wants to become a muscle-monster, that's his or her business.  I wish them the best of luck.  They'll need it.  But it's hardly healthy all-round fitness, is it?

My eBook Dangerous Exercises Exposed!
